Finding lounge music one of my most favorite music genres out of the whole entire world, one game that fits perfectly within that genre would most definitely be Gran Turismo. Well, most of the part of the game awards you with a soothing music playing in the background while you are on the menu selecting which vehicle you would like to begin racing through your journey into becoming the best race driver in this amazing racing series. Starting off with competing against other racers in order to reach to the final cups; don’t you ever just want to take the time off and stay on the menu with its wonderful music for a bit of time? A moment to dive into the game, standing next to an upgraded Nissan 370Z, then finally playing through a variety of soundtracks Gran Turismo has to offer. I will list a few songs that have been secretly placed throughout some of these titles for listeners to discover for their time being.

Night Birds (Gran Turismo 6)

One of these soundtracks that stand tall in the world of Gran Turismo 6 is Night Birds. It is well created to represent jazzy yet lobby type of music that you would normally hear inside cafes, although also a bit of a competitive feeling you get when your driving in the midst of playing this soundtrack. You then meet with a road filled with nature on each side from your point of view, it only gives a huge plus when operating that fast and perfectly designed vehicle built for you to enjoy cruising around town or on highways. From what I see in these instrumental sounds, I see comfort mixed with enthusiasm in return. Nothing beats against how Night Birds was composed to become thanks to the composers who joined forces to invent this individual soundtrack.

Horizons in May (Gran Turismo 5)

Another soundtrack I’d like to share in this article would most likely be Horizons in May as mentioned above. This masterpiece appears in Gran Turismo 5 released for the Playstation 3. Introduced as the first Gran Turismo title to be made for the PS3, the lounge music composed to be met with this game were absolutely astounding. Including a few more soundtracks, Horizons in May stands as the big brother of all the other lounge music played within GT5. Now this piece gives out the kind of vibe when your out taking a walk down Long Beach, California on a Sunday evening before busy Monday comes nearer. I’m surprised how some games can send out memorable songs a gamer can then have the time to listen even outside of gaming.

When it all comes down to music in general inside the world of Gran Turismo, you aren’t simply put into racing against other racers either offline or online, you are also met with a sort of an out of ordinary melodies which is what Gran Turismo specialized ever since their very first game. Every once in a while I love to punch in one of this series’ soundtracks while driving just to get an extra feel that I am inside Gran Turismo world. The amount of love I have for gaming music is a breaking scale once asked by anyone whether a relative or a friend, it is one of the most important tools in gaming if you want to truly feel the atmosphere any game presents to you. Speaking of this game though, I believe Gran Turismo to be one of the titles that managed to send out messages to other gaming developers and state “Hey, not only are the game’s atmosphere & mechanism mandatory, but the music as well!” However I’m still glad to know there are still hundreds of games that focus heavily on composing great music despite each of their challenges. Gran Turismo is for sure a gaming series that revolutionize video game music when it came to the racing genre, and will forever stay as one of my most favorite video game music.
